How to Delete Your Data

Your Right to Delete

Parents may request deletion of their account and all associated child data at any time. We will complete deletion within 30 days of your request.

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

Steps to Delete Your Account:

  1. Open SafeClass Shield parent dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account Settings
  3. Scroll down to Danger Zone
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Review what will be deleted
  6. Type DELETE to confirm
  7. Click "Permanently Delete"

Warning: This Action is Permanent

Once deleted, your account and all child profiles cannot be recovered. Consider exporting data before deletion.

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request via email:

Send to: privacy@safeclassshield.com

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include in your email:

  • Your registered email address
  • Full name on the account
  • Confirm you want to delete: "I request deletion of my SafeClass Shield account and all associated data"
  • List of child profiles (if known)

Response Time: We will confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

Parent Account Data

  • Account credentials
  • Profile information
  • Email address
  • Billing history (retained for tax/legal purposes only)

Child Profiles

  • Child display names
  • All child profile data
  • Activity logs
  • Assignment tracking data

Device Data

  • Device pairings removed
  • Protection policies disabled
  • Device identifiers deleted
  • Enforcement history cleared

LMS Connections

  • Google Classroom tokens revoked
  • Canvas access revoked
  • Moodle connections terminated
  • Blackboard tokens invalidated

Logs & History

  • Activity logs deleted within 30 days
  • Audit logs purged from backups
  • Analytics data anonymized
  • Support tickets archived (anonymized)

What We Retain (Legal Requirements)

For legal, tax, and fraud prevention purposes, we may retain:

  • Transaction records: Required for tax compliance (7 years)
  • Fraud prevention data: Anonymized account identifiers to prevent abuse
  • Legal hold data: If account is subject to legal proceedings
  • Aggregated analytics: Anonymized usage patterns (no personal identifiers)

None of this data can be used to identify you or your children after account deletion.

All logs and backups permanently deleted

Pause Monitoring

Temporarily disable monitoring without losing data

Export Your Data

Download a copy of all activity logs and reports before deletion

Remove Individual Child Profiles

Delete specific children without closing your account

Disconnect LMS

Revoke school integrations while keeping parental controls
